This study investigates and tries to understand the relationship between excellent quality management practices and school’s performance achievement. There are 128 secondary schools in state of Kedah involved in this research. The concept of excellent quality management practices is operationalized by the following dimensions: management of vision and mission, management of school’s system, management of school’s environment, management of school’s programme and management of schools and students performance, as well as process management. A research framework was developed and twelve hypotheses were posited and tested. Data was collected using self-administered personal interviews aided by seconded data from School’s Inspectorate, District Education Office, and the schools
involved. Pearson correlation and multiple regression were used in the statistical analyses. Descriptive statistics were also employed. The results revealed that only four of the excellent quality management practices dimensions have a significant relationship with school’s performance
