Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between collaborative climate and emotional intelligence influence on job performance. The research objective were to
(i) examine the relationship between collaborative climate with job performance; (ii) examine the relationship between collaborative climate with emotional intelligence; (iii)
examine the relationship between emotional intelligence with job performance; (iv) determine which is existing differences between demographic factors influence on job
performance and (v) determine the relationship between collaborative climate and job performance if existing emotional intelligence. A questionnaire was used to collect data that was then analyses using the Statistical
Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 11. 278 respondent’s non-executive of Telekom Malaysia in Kedah and Perlis as a research sampling. The respondents were
selected by convenience sampling technique. From the total, only 158 (57%) a questionnaire were to return back. Pearson correlation method and regression was applied for a hypotheses one, two, three and five testing in order to measure the significant relationship between variables. Other wise, T-test and ANOVA were used to show the
differences demographic factors influence on job performance.
The results show that three hypotheses were being accepted that is hypotheses one existed significant relationship between collaborative climates with job performance,
hypotheses two existed significant relationship between collaborative climate with emotional intelligence and hypotheses three existed significant relationship between
emotional intelligence with job performance. Beside that, hypotheses four and five were rejected because hypotheses four show there were no existed differences between
demographic factors with job performance and hypotheses five there were no significant relationship between collaborative climate and job performance if existed emotional intelligence. So, the result answered and support the research objective and the framework developed based on literature review can likely be applied in Malaysian
context. Based on the result, some suggestions have been offered based on these findings to enhance this research in future. The study suggested that the research could be extending in other profession or field like education and legal. This research could be used as a foundation to do further research studies in this concept that is collaborative climate, emotional intelligence and job performance. In addition, one procedure to easier
researcher get information in any organization must be provide and to improvement.
