Abstract
This research aims to identify the correlation between the mastery of basic Mathematical concept (algebra expression), attitude, interest, peer influence and perception towards teachers' instructions with upper secondary Mathematics achievement. 80 Form Five students from a school in the district of Simpang Empat, Perlis were chosen as respondents. The instrument used in this research was a set of test questions comprising of algebra expression questions and a set of questionnaire forms consisting of items connected with attitude, interest, peer influence and perception towards Mathematics teachers' instructions. The data obtained was analysed using SPSS method. Pearson Correlation Test was used to test the research hypotheses. The 0.05 level of significance was used for this study. The finding of this study showed that there was a significant correlation between the basic Mathematical concept (algebra expression), attitude, interest, peer influence and perception towards the teachers' instructions with the upper secondary Mathematics achievement.
