Abstract

The study was designed to examine the inter relationship between personality and emotional intelligence to job satisfaction. It is also aimed at predicting variables
affecting job satisfaction. The sample group composed of 150 bank employees of Krung Thai Bank. Co, Ltd.( KTB) who were selected by stratified random sampling. Research instruments consisted of the NEO- FFI personality inventory, emotional intelligence test, the Job Description Index (JDI) and Job in General (JIG)- job satisfaction measurement. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics (percentage, arithmetic mean, and standard deviation) and inferential (t-test, One way analysis of variance, multiple regression, and path analysis). Studies have been done comparing certain demographic characteristics and general profile. Structural equation modeling techniques (SEM) were used to develop a model of personality, emotional intelligence and job satisfaction of Krung Thai Bank employees in three southern border province of Thailand. Finding indicated that there are significances
different in demographic characteristics and general profile of personality, emotional intelligence, and job satisfaction. Overall personality and overall emotional
intelligence were weakly correlated with job satisfaction. Extraversion was the only personality dimension that predicts job satisfaction. Modified model is fitted with
Neuroticism dimension of personality, Good and Smart aspects of emotional intelligence are related and have influenced in predicting Happiness - aspect of emotional intelligence and job satisfaction of Krung Thai employees. This implies that the bank's executive should focus on stress emotion, assigned authority, and motivated factor to increase happiness and job satisfaction of KTB employees.
