Abstract

The thesis is written on the study of search engine for the online property searching in Malaysian. Online property searching is very new in Malaysia. A numbers of property portals just launching their service in the middle of year 2000. There are some limitations presented in their system. By studying the search engine concept, this thesis hope to improvise an alternative solution for a
more effective system in term of searching a wider scopes and requiring less maintenance work at the same time. Bddbot, a search engine written in Java is used for valuation for this study. After setting up and enhancing some of the features, the results presented some limitations need to be improved. A directory based searching system is more appropriate if to compare above two mentioned system for property search.
