Abstract

This study delves into the Performance Appraisal System with promotion among Senior Police Inspector of Police rank. It is a study that evaluated explores the views Officer (PYD) in relation to the effectiveness of the management system performance evaluation. Data obtained through the analysis of written documents from previous researchers and questionnaires. This study is specifically in relation to the effectiveness of the Performance Appraisal System management influenced the promotion among the rank of Police Senior Inspector at the Police Training Centre (PULAPOL), Kuala Lumpur. Questionnaires were used as a tool to getdata from the officer assessed. The findings of the study, among other things, found that all five dimensions of the system performance evaluation of the effectiveness of management performance evaluation process,
the distribution of benefits and salary movement, motivation and job promotion, career development/training courses and the justice system does have a significant and positive with job performance. This study revealed that only two-dimensional management system performance evaluation of career development and training needs and the justice system alone can affect the performance of the work in the promotion of the rank of Senior Police Inspector in the Royal Malaysian Police Force (PDRM). This study involved 160 respondents. Data were analyzed using SPSS "Statistical Package for Social Science'(SPSS) version 18.0 through descriptive analysis, correlation and regression
