(1994), Fields, J.C. (1994), Heaphy, M. S. Gruska, G.F. (1995) and Tony Pot (1996). The data in this study was gathered using the 29-item questionnaire on a 1 to 5 Likert scale. Data was analysed using the appropriate statistical tools. The findings show that there is a moderate level of agreement among the Education Service Officers and lecturers about the implementation of the various characteristics. Quality Training along TQM. Overall the study indicate that there is substantial scope for improvement in the activities related to TQM. Nevertheless, the level is quite satisfactory and at an acceptable level since the TQM program was implemented only a few years back. Finally, suggestions were made on some strategies for implementing TQM, and areas for further research.
