Abstract

The main purpose of the study was to investigate the stages of implementing management functions among Islamic Private Schools (IPS) in terms of curriculum management, cocurriculum management, financial management and human resource management.
In order to gather research information, one set of questionnaire was used. The respondents of the study were 62 IPS teachers and administrators in the district of Baling. The gathered data were processed using descriptive statistic method by SPSS for Windows 7.5 software. The
finding of the study showed that the stages of implementing
management functions in the IPS in terms of curriculum management, co-curriculurn management, financial management and human resource management is merely moderate satisfied.
Based on this result, IPS administrators are recommended to
improve their management knowledge and skills by attending
management courses. Jabatan Agama Islam Kedah ( JAIK ) is also recommended to play a major role to provide enough financial assistance and provide management courses packages for IPS administrators.
