Abstract

Employee performance is the one of the main factors in determining company success. Company nowadays facing intense competition in improving employee performance. This study is to determine the relationship between pay, training and job autonomy towards employee performance. A total of 107 service team staff working at a water filter company in Northern Malaysia participated in this study. Data was analysed using Statistical Packages for Social Science (SPSS) software 25.0 to test the reliability, correlation, regression and hypothesis of this study. Results on the analysis showed that job autonomy and training are positively related with employee performance. Employees who have the freedom to handle their job tasks and have the required knowledge and skills to perform their tasks through training were perceived to show high performance at work. Finally, the possible reasons of the findings, as well as implications on individual, management, academic and recommendations for future study are also discussed.
