Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to examine the influence of work environment, salary, recognition and career developments on employee performance amongst manufacturing employees in Bayan Lepas. A convenience sampling method was used in this study. Data which was gathered through questionnaires was analyzed using statistical package for social science (SPSS) software version 26.0. Normality Analysis, Reliability Test, Pearson Correlation Analysis and Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) Analysis were performed. The results of the study show that out of four factors examined only work environment and salary had positive significant influence on employee performance. Meanwhile, recognition and career development did not show any significant influence on employee performance. This study suggested that work environment and salary are crucial factors in influencing employee performance. Therefore, the management of the manufacturing companies in this area should give high attention of those factors if they were to improve employee performance
