Abstract

Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) are known as engine in generating income for Malaysian economy. Nevertheless, the Covid-19 pandemic has affect SMEs as they suffer from business disclosure and income reductions due to the implementation of Movement Control Order (MCO). Therefore, this research aims to examine the effect of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) on the performance of Muslim entrepreneurs in Malaysia particularly in Kedah. Thus, a sample of 153 respondents were collected among the Muslim entrepreneurs in Kedah. The Multiple Regression analysis is used to answer the main objective of the study. The finding shows that monitoring variable give slightly significant effect on the Muslim entrepreneurs’ performance. Hence, this research provide inputs towards the Muslim entrepreneurs in understanding the needs of implementing ERM besides to increase their level of knowledge and awareness. This research also contributes to the policy maker towards improvise and laid ERM as a compulsory requirement before setting up a new business.
