Factors influencing awareness of saving behaviour among international Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) students.

This study examines the factors influencing the awareness of saving behaviour. The study used the theory of planned behavior (TPB) (Azjen 1991) as its foundation in selecting variables. Variables extracted from the theory are attitude, perceived behavioral control,
and subjective norms. There is additional variable is included in this study which is promotion. The study focuses on the awareness on saving behaviour among IIUM students. The study employed a quantitative type of research using questionnaires distributed to 124 respondents. The result shows that all variables are significant in
influencing the awareness of saving behaviour. This also proved that TPB model including the additional variable accurately predicts the factors influencing saving behaviour.
