Abstract

Work-related stress is a growing problem around the world that affects not only the health and well-being of employees, but also the productivity of organisations. Workrelated stress arises where work demands of various types and combinations exceed the person’s capacity and capability to cope. Therefore, this study is conducted with

The study examines the direct relationship between organizational justice, job demand and work environment and work stress. A total of 329 questionnaire were distributed online through Google form to all investigation officer and assistant investigation officer in Peninsular Malaysia. Response rate was 100%. In this study, hypotheses for direct effect were tested using multiple regression analyses. Results showed that all ther variable tested (organizational justice, job demand and work environment) were
significantly positively related to work stress. The findings indicate that work stress among investigation officer and assistant investigation officer can be reduced by improving on organizational justice by giving fair treatment, reducing work load by fairly distributing the task and improving work environment.
