Abstract
The study examined the influence of crisis management strategy, crisis management team, and public relation on the organisational performance in addition to the moderation of technology business analytics in the UAE municipals. The proposed conceptual framework has three factors of crisis management as antecedents of the dependent variable, organisational performance; and one moderating variable, technology business analytics. The study is deductive approach and use quantitative methods to analyze the primary data that collected by the self-directed questionnaire that used Likert-5 polls. Respondents are 365 employees of managerial positions (supervisors, deputy managers, managers, and general managers) in three northern municipals, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Al Fujairah and chosen based on quota sampling technique. Results revealed that the proposed conceptual framework can explain 32.7 % of the organizational performance. Overall, the model is significant with F (3,302) = 50.314 and the three direct relationships are in significant level at 5%. The precedence of the three antecedents is crisis management strategy (0.372), crisis management team (0.220), and public relation (0.205). The moderating influence of technology business analytics shows no significant effect related to crisis management team, significant effect related to crisis management strategy with change of 0.2419, and significant effect related to public relation with change of 0.1226. Overall, five hypothesis is accepted among the six proposed relationships. The results contribute to the UAE municipals by revealing the importance of crisis management on the performance of the municipals and contribute to the academic knowledge by adding empirical results from the UAE. Future work can focus in examining more antecedents from the crisis management domain to increase the explanation power of the conceptual framework.
