Abstract

The Dubai Police Force has made a significant contribution to the society of Dubai. Nevertheless, the overall performance of the Force is still not up to the desired standards due to its lack of staff training programs and facilities. Moreover, the performance level of personnel working under the Dubai Police Force remains unsatisfactory due to the absence of a well-established and comprehensive training culture within the organization. Both employees and their performances are arguably the critical components for determining and attaining success in an organization. With regards to this matter, practitioners and academicians are still struggling to identify the driving factors behind the employee's high performance which in turn leads to the organization's high performance. Hence, this study assesses the relationship between e-learning training practices and organizational performance through capacity building, job performance and job satisfaction in the Dubai Police Force. A survey method is used in this study to collect data from 499 employees attached to the Force. This study analyzed the acquired data using the Partial Least Squares (Structural Equation Modeling) and SPSS technique. The relationship between the exogenous and the endogenous latent construct was measured through the calculation of beta value, t-value, and p-value. This study reveals that the relationship between e-learning training practices and organizational performance is statistically significant. However, the correlation among independent and dependent variables, except for capacity building, is insignificant in the context of the relationship between human resource management practices and organizational performance. Unlike job performance and job satisfaction, capacity building is a statistically significant variable mediating the relationship between e-learning training practices and organizational performance. The findings of this study is expected to assist policy makers and practitioners in formulating effective measures for enhancing the performance of employees and organization in the Dubai Police Force.
