Abstract
This study proposed to examine the relationship between work-life balance, social support and organizational citizenship behavior because the mechanism of how work-life balance and social support influence employee organizational citizenship behavior is not sufficiently clear. Among 211 bank employees from a total of 50 bank branches in Penang, the study investigated the relationship with the inclusion of work-life balance, social support, and organizational citizenship behavior. Finally, the examination of the effects of work-life balance, and social support and its influence on organizational citizenship behavior was also undertaken. A survey was conducted using a online format questionnaire and the data were obtained from employee’s self-ratings. The data was then been analysed by using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software. The results indicated that work-life balance and social support plays important role in affecting the employees whether to participate in organizational citizenship behavior.
