Abstract

In recent years, unsafe actions have emerged as a leading cause of injuries and accidents among construction workers in Klang Valley where they impact the company’s reputation and individuals themselves. This study aims to determine the correlation between safety management practices and safety compliance among
construction workers in Klang Valley. In this dissertation/project paper, a quantitative method is employed, utilizing a questionnaire adapted from the previous researcher. A total of 190 construction workers related to this sector participated in responding to the questionnaire. This study employed descriptive statistics for data analysis through IBM SPSS Statistics Version 27. Out of all the dimensions in safety management practices, worker involvement has a significant relationship with construction workers' safety compliance. Meanwhile, the remaining dimensions did not show a significant association with safety compliance among workers such as management commitment, safety training, safety communication and feedback, safety rules and procedures, and safety promotion policies. The findings of this study may guide the management of the construction companies in Klang Valley in improving the safety compliance of the employees in the future.
