Abstract

Employees’ career satisfaction is one of the flaming topic in Malaysia. Some of the factors that affects the employees’ career satisfaction are including the employees’ promotion, work-life balance and job stress. These are among the factors that are not only important to the employees but also to the organization. Nonetheless, there are still unanswered and unclear connection on how the factors influences the employees’ career satisfaction. This
study aims to examine the influence of promotion, work-life balance and job stress towards employees’ career satisfaction among construction industry in Malaysia. The present study has been conducted among 142 employees in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Based on the population, the sample size is 104. Data were gathered by questionnaire survey and analysed by using SPSS. Pearson Correlation and Multiple Regression were applied to test the hypotheses of the study. The findings indicated that there is a significant and positive relationship between promotion, work-life balance and employees’ career satisfaction. Also, it was discovered that job stress not significant in affecting the employees’ career satisfaction.
