Abstract
The teaching of Sirah is frequently linked with dull instruction, students struggle to retain information and struggle to connect the principles that must be learned from Sirah. Thus, the objective of this research is to explore the teaching practices of excellent teachers of Islamic Education in the field of Sirah to be used as an effective teaching model and guide. The study used a qualitative approach to case study design. The participants of this study were determined by purposive sampling from 4 excellent teachers of Islamic Education. The data collection methods used are interviews, document analysis and audio visual materials. The data is analyzed by Thematic Analysis. The validity and reliability of the studies involved triangulation, approval of study participants and expert validation of the study instruments. Three themes were produced in this study, namely basic knowledge, teachers' teaching strategies and teachers' skills towards teaching Sirah. In terms of basic knowledge, teachers need to deepen their knowledge and understand the objectives of Sirah teaching correctly. The teaching method aspect emphasizes the teacher diversifying the teaching methods, such as narration, role-playing, and project methods. In the teaching skills aspect, teachers need to plan lessons well, manage classrooms effectively and strive to improve their teaching skills from time to time. This study produces a teaching model of Islamic Education teachers that will benefit Islamic Education teachers who teach Sirah.
