Abstract

The study was conducted in the effort to fill the gap within the research related to Malayan Emergency 1948-1960. It has been seen that previous research has examined British policy in countering insurgency in Malaya as a whole. However not

Selangor on its unique way was an important state that had created important platforms in helping British counterinsurgency during the Malayan Emergency. Besides the armed struggle against the MCP, Selangor also offered the counterinsurgency important platforms such as elections and multi-racial
