Pengaruh latihan keselamatan, penglibatan pekerja dan promosi keselamatan terhadap kesedaran keselamatan dalam kalangan Penolong Pegawai Perubatan Daerah Segamat

Safety training, worker’s involvement and safety promotion and safety awareness play a key role in developing a safe work culture in the workplace. This study aimed to test the influence of safety training, worker’s involvement, safety promotion and occupational safety awareness. This quantitative study involved 80 respondents whose questionnaires were distributed to Assistant Medical Officers (PPP) in Segamat District. Statistic package for social science (SPSS) version 23 was used to analyze the data of this study. Descriptive analysis shows that safety training, workers involvement and safety promotion practiced by the Hospital and Pejabat Kesihatan Segamat are moderate while occupational safety awareness among PPP also moderate. Correlation and regression analysis showed that all variables had significant effects. In implementing occupational safety programs and safe work culture activities, employers should emphasize safety training, worker’s involvement and safety promotion as an important factor that management and workers should consider in raising awareness of safety in Segamat District. This paper also discusses the findings of the study, the limitations of the study and suggestions for further study.
