Abstract
The objective of this study is to examine the factors of Occupational stress among middle level managers in private higher education institutions in Klang Valley. The present study found there is a relationship between occupational stress with environmental stressor, personal stressor and organizational stressor. This study also deliberated about types of stress and impact of occupational stress on middle level managers. The survey research method employed was using questionnaire with quantitative analysis to determine the middle level manager's stress factors. There were
103 respondents of various private institution's managers involved to the variables in the model. The Pearson correlation and multiple regression technique were used to explain the result of the research. The Environmental stressor is the main factor of
occupational stress among middle level managers. This study also confirmed that occupational stress can give negative effect on employee's performances and on their life. Employee's performance is important as they are the asset for the organization
and they should ensure they are well- established in their respective fields. In conclusion, performance and motivation of the employees can be gained from the aspect of reward which are related to them after hardship to fulfil their responsibility
