Abstract

This study provides the finding of Malaysia SMEs innovative performance influence by intellectual capital and organizational learning. Intellectual capital variables consist of human capital, structural capital and customer capital. Whereas, organizational learning variables consist of information acquisition, information
distribution, information interpretation, and organizational memory. Therefore, this study examined the relationship between intellectual capital, organizational learning and innovative performance of Malaysia SMEs. A total of 2,000 questionnaires (google based survey form) were distributed across SMEs in Malaysia within four (4) months. 162 questionnaires were returned which result in a total response rate of 22%. The hypotheses for the relationship of variables were tested using multiple regression analyses. Interestingly, the results showed that all intellectual capital
variables; human capital, structural capital and customer capital have significant relationship with innovative performance in this study. This study also discovered that information distribution of organizational learning has significant relationship with innovative performance. In short, this study contributes toward the current body of knowledge for its literature review and helps SMEs to enable the continuous growth in SMEs business. Hypotheses being developed and answered in this study share different point of view with the previous scholars' findings that may debate it in the context of Malaysia.
