Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitude, and training with occupational safety and health awareness. The conceptual model was established based on the existing literatures to test the relationship between the variables of this study. Research design uses a questionnaire with random
sampling method involving 120 respondents. The results of correlation and regression analysis showed that two independent variables (attitudes and training) had a positive relationship and influence the level of occupational safety and health awareness. The results also showed that attitudes were the strongest influential on occupational safety and health awareness. Therefore, the proposed model provides a greater understanding of how knowledge, attitude and training increase the level of occupational safety and health awareness among employees. Based on the findings of this study, employees should increase awareness of occupational safety and health to reduce accidents at the workplace. Further, employees need to have knowledge, attitude, and training to ensure the importance of occupational safety and health.
