Abstract
This study is a case study aimed at identifying factors related to teacher satisfaction at a secondary school in Langkawi Island, Tuanku Putra secondary school. Job satisfaction is essential to increase job productivity. Thus, the purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships between work environment, motivational factors, leadership, and workload to teacher satisfaction. A total of 116 questionnaires were used for gathering data from the respondents. SPSS version 22.0 was used to analyse the data. Findings showed that there is a positive relationship between work environment, motivational factors, leadership, and workload towards job satisfaction among teachers in Tuanku Putra secondary school. Moreover, motivation was strongly associated with job satisfaction among teachers. Improvement suggestions were that school management should provide a conducive working environment, develop good leadership, and motivate teachers to enhance their teacher‟s satisfaction. Besides, school management must ensure that teachers are not burdened with too many works or clutter multiple work at a time to avoid job dissatisfaction among teachers.
