Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the perception of computer usage by employees at
an engineering company in Selangor with the awareness and practice of ergonomics at workstation. A quantitative survey method was employed to obtain information from respondents. Structured questionnaires comprising of 43 questions that were used to
measure four variables; demographic, ergonomic program and computerized management as an independent variable to the problem of ergonomic awareness (dependent variable) were adopted in this study. The findings revealed that significant relationships exist between variables (ergonomic awareness, demographic, ergonomic program and computerized management). The findings also revealed that the analysis of
correlation ergonomic program factor has the strongest correlation with ergonomic awareness compared to the other factors. The study concluded with a discussion on theoretical and practical implications, and suggestion for future research
