Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the leadership behavior of the principals of Chinese private schools in Perak Darul Ridzuan and its relationship between academic, achievement of the schools. Leader Behavior Description Questionnaire (LBDQ XII), by Halpin (1966) is to identify the leadership behavior of the principles. Whereas the academic achievement of the school is evaluated by refering to the Junior Middle Three examination of the year 2000 and 200 1. The Pearson correlation method has been used to test the hyphotesis. Nine government secondary school of Kuala Kangsar district have been used to see the differences among the principles' leadership behaviors. The same LBDQ XI1 have been used to identify the leadership behavior of the principles of this schools and Penilaian Menengah Rendah examination result of the year 2000 and 2001 have been used to evaluate academic achievement of the schools. The Pearson correlation method has been used to test the hypho tesis.
