Abstract

In the workplace, job satisfaction is one of the most crucial factors. By enhancing employee job satisfaction, most organisations can achieve their goals. This research investigates the relationship between compensation, leadership, work-life balance, and job satisfaction among human resource (HR) officers in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The study aims to explore how these factors influence job satisfaction in SMEs and identify their combined effect. 100 respondents took part in this study, which employed a quantitative research method. The Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) analysed the data. The findings indicate that compensation, leadership, and work-life balance all show a significant correlation with job satisfaction. However, the study concludes that that compensation has the largest contribution effect to job satisfaction among HR officers in SMEs. The study offers several recommendations for SMEs to improve HR officers' job satisfaction. These include implementing regular compensation assessments, enhancing leadership through training programs, and promoting work-life balance with flexible work options. Additionally, the findings were helpful in helping HR officer know in detail about the factor of compensation, leadership and work life balance that are accepted in SME business for the future.
