Abstract

Employee engagement is a critical factor in ensuring effective teaching performance and service quality, particularly in the early childhood education sector. Kindergarten teachers with a high level of employee engagement tend to demonstrate stronger commitment, enthusiasm, and positive work behaviours. Therefore, this study aims to examine the influence of training, motivation, and perceived organizational support on employee engagement among kindergarten teachers at Dzul Iman Smart Khalifah. The primary objective of this study is to identify the relationships between training, motivation, perceived organizational support, and employee engagement. This study adopts a quantitative approach using a cross-sectional research design. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to kindergarten teachers at Dzul Iman Smart Khalifah, with a total of 109 respondents participating in the study. The data were analysed using the Statistical Package for the SocialSciences (SPSS), employing both descriptive and inferential statistical analyses, including linear regression analysis to test the research hypotheses. The findings of the study reveal that training, motivation, and perceived organizational support have significant and positive relationships with employee engagement among kindergarten teachers at Dzul Iman Smart Khalifah, suggesting that investment in continuous training, effective motivational strategies, and a supportive work environment can enhance teachers’ overall commitment and level of engagement. In particular, perceived organizational support was found to play an important role in enhancing teachers’ levels of engagement. This study provides a clearer understanding of the factors that influence employee engagement in the early childhood education context. The findings are expected to assist the management of Dzul Iman Smart Khalifah in designing effective training programmes, motivation strategies, and organizational support practices to enhance teacher engagement and overall performance.
