Abstract
The main focus of this study is about the factors of intention to perform cash waqf among primary school teachers in Perlis. Generally, teachers in Perlis had the opportunity to perform cash waqf through the initiative of salary deduction by the Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Istiadat Melayu Perlis (MAIPs) for all government employees. This study attempts to examine the factors of intention to perform cash waqf that measured by the factor of religiosity, knowledge, attitude and convenience. The Theory of Reasoned Action is used as the basis of this research theory. There are three main objectives of this study. Firstly, to determine the differences in intention to perform cash waqf within group of gender, age, marital status and income among school teachers in Perlis. Secondly, to investigate the relationship between religiosity, knowledge, attitude, convenience and the intention to perform cash waqf among school teachers in Perlis. Thirdly, to determine the factors including religiosity, knowledge, attitude and convenience towards intention to perform cash waqf among school teachers in Perlis. This study used quantitative methods through the distribution of questionnaires to 152 respondents among primary school teachers in Perlis. The findings of the questionnaires were analyzed by using t-test, ANOVA, correlation and multi regression analysis. The result shows that there is a significant factor in influencing the intention which is knowledge factor in performing cash waqf. While religion, attitude and convenience are not significant factors in influencing the intention to perform cash waqf. This study has made significant contributions and implications as reference of Malaysian researchers on the implementation of cash waqf as well as enhancing the ownership of waqf in other institutions
