Abstract
This study aimed to examine the relationship between safety management practices and safe behaviours. Safety management practices involve six main elements namely management commitment, safety training, safety communication and feedback, safety rules and procedures, employee involvement and lastly is the policy of promoting safety. Data were collected using quantitative methods involving questionnaires that were distributed online via official email from the staff of the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia Kuala Lumpur. The feedback received was 268 respondents. The results of the feedback received were analyzed using IBM SPSS Version 26 software. The results of the validity analysis obtained showed that three elements such as safety training, employee involvement and safety rules showed the best results among the six elements in safety management practices. Other study findings, limitations and discussions of the study, as well as recommendations for future studies, are also discussed in this study.
