Konsep ilahiyyat dalam pemikiran Imam Ahmad Bin Hanbal berdasarkan kitab Ushul As-Sunnah oleh Abdullah Bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jibrin

The book of Ushul as-Sunnah, treatise of Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman al-Jibrin, expressed that the thoughts of Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal in Ilahiyyat concept is in line with ahlus sunnah wal-jamaah school of thought. However, the creation foundation of his thoughts in Ilahiyyat concept is not described in detail. Therefore,
study of the thoughts of Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal in Ilahiyyat concept needs to be done. With this study, his thouhgts can be studied and developed in the future. It is very important on when the Moslem today are in the critical things related to the right creed. The objective of this study is to identify the concept of Illahiyyat as a
whole based on the biographical study of Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal, his speeches and writings in the book. This study used the library research method which is a qualitative method by using content and comparison analysis. The thoughts of Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal in Ilahiyyat concept can be studied from his creed publications,
especially it is a book of Ushul as-Sunnah and the respected books written by the leaders of ahli sunnah wal-jamaah, they are Ibn Taimiyyah al-Harrani, Ibn Qayyim al-Jauziah, Imam Abu Hasan al-Asyaari dan Imam Abu Manshur al-Maturidy who they are as comparison sources. The results show that the thought of Imam Ahmad
bin Hanbal on the proof of the existence of Allāh is proven through the creation of the universe. He has faith in elements and traits of Allāh from eternal, goods and bads Qadār from Allāh, giving all to the Khaliq after trying his best to solve any problem and Allāh can be seen in the hereafter. Practically, this study suggests that the concept of Ilahiyyat which is based on the Quran and Sunnah should be justified according to the study of modern knowledge so that it is easily understood by the
community.
