Abstract
This study aims to study the intention with zakat on business among Muslim’s Pharmacies’ Pharmacies operators operating in the state of Kedah. This study is using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) as the research framework of the study and aims to identify the extent to which independent variables consisting of attitudes, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control are seen to influence the intention to pay zakat on business. Besides, this study attempts to determine the relationship between all these variables. A total of 102 respondents were involved in this questionnaire. Tests conducted include descriptive analysis and inference. The findings of the study found that attitudes, subjective norms and behavioral control were seen to be at a neutral and high level. Studies also show that the three independent variables mentioned have a positive and significant correlation with the intention to pay zakat on business. The regression analysis test found that attitudes, subjective norms and behavior control were seen to have an influential effect and its role in triggering the intention to pay zakat on business among the Muslim’s Pharmacies operators. The implications of this study allow the zakat industry to focus on the factors influencing the payment of zakat among Muslim pharmacies and all companies conducting business.
