Abstract
Islamic estate planning is one of the most essential areas for ensuring a smooth transition or transfer of the deceased's assets to their beneficiaries. Wasiyyah is one of the most crucial things to be aware of before death. The highlighted issue in this study is the percentage of awareness on Wasiyyah practice among Muslims in Malaysia is still at a worried level, which can lead to an increase in unclaimed assets. A survey via questionnaire was carried out with the target sample of 108 respondents from two selected schools in Kelantan. The study will examine the relationships between awareness on Wasiyyah practice and independent variables such as attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioural control (PBC), and religiosity. Data were obtained through primary data, a self-administered questionnaire via Google Form. The result indicates only two of the independent variables, which are attitude and perceived behavioural control (PBC), significantly influence the teacher's awareness of Wasiyyah practice. In addition, the study's findings provide useful insights into variables examined from TPB Theory and Maqasid Shariah to improve teachers' awareness regarding Wasiyyah practice.
