Abstract
The aim of this research is to look into the factors that effects the turnover intention among lecturers from the polytechnic and community college. The primary objective of the research is to determine the relationship between the chosen independent variables which are organisation commitment, job satisfaction, job stress and promotion opportunity with turnover intention. The questionnaire method was used to get information from the research sample of 248 respondents from The Higher Education Officer Scheme from the polytechnic and community college in the Ministry of Higher Education. The finding of
the research shows that all the independent variables organisation commitment, job satisfaction, job stress and promotion opportunity are significantly related with 85.7
percent to turnover intention. This project paper looks at literatures and data regarding employee’s turnover which is useful for the Ministry to develop sustainable measures in
order to retain their lecturers for the development of the polytechnic and community colleges.
